I have recently bought a caravan and suscribed to the magazine. Whilst reading it I have come across several references to a CL. I do not know what this stands for and was wondering if anyone could help.

it stands for Certified Location.

Both the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club have the power to authorise a location for camping by up to 5 vans without the need for planning permission.

These can vary from a field with a tap, to the same facilities as a "full" site.

To use them, you have to be a member of the relevant club.

They can be very economical.
