What The BBC Think About Our hobby?

What a sad organisation the BBC are!

This morning they had a reporter on a CC&C site in the west country, he was stood in the pouring rain reporting on the joys of camping. (although there was'nt a tent in sight) Of course the newsreaders in the studio took great pleasure in trashing the idea of caravanning and camping from the outset.

In the introduction the reporter said more and more people were taking up caravanning due the currnt "credit crunch" becauuse it was a cheap holiday.

His report included filming from within a fairly new camper van and he showed the cooking area, the shower room and the inside of a very large fridge. Not sure what make of campervan it was but I would guess it would have a price tag of at least plus £30,000.

Now what was it he said about it being a cheap holiday?

They should have filmed at a caravan site in Scotland this weekend as they would have a completely different picture ie. people enjoying glorious weather. Don't think they want to put that image across though

Surely we want this kind of reporting?

if the mediaq portrays camping as a fun, economical holiday, then more people will take it up and prices will rise?
