Hi Ron, I have have a Passat sport 170 DSG, I love it for towing our 5 bed Swift. I have to knock it over into manual and push it into 6th when on the motorway etc as it wants to stay in 5th, do have to do the same? Also, I tend to get around 24/26 to the gal, how your mgp when towing?
 
still towing our coachman vip 530/4 with the ford s max 2.0 tdci. fantastic outfit the car is now 18 month old and up untill last friday when another motorist decided the front end needed re arranging we have not one fault, same with the van which is now 2 years old, not one single fault.

currently using a loan 58 plate freelander 2 diesel auto which when i put the van on yesterday only did 28 mpg ouch, the s max towes the van better and returns 38 with it on tow.
