What's the position on having a salvaged van?

Help can anyone advise on what the position is if you purchase a caravan that turns out to have been subject to a destruction notice then returned to the road and sold on!! but is now the subject of an insurance claim which is when the true history was discovered. It was purchsed from a trader in good faith.
 
This sounds complicated! Get in touch with your local Trading Standards Officer AND your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB).
