Over the years I have seen Items made for the caravan which I am sure must have been designed by some one who was not a caravanner.

The one I nominate is the combined fresh water and waste water carrier, the idea was the container had two strong plastic bags in side when you filled the fresh water bag it forced out the waste water from the other bag. The problem was that on most sites the waste water disposal point is not at the freshwater tap for health reasons, the next fault was that any hot waste water transfered the heat to the fresh water making a glass of freshwater warm yak.

Any one got other examples or did you have one and are you still using it.

We might think it but it's an unwritten rule that we never say it. You might as well ask the forum for the 20 best uses of a wife and see where that one gets you! What would you like put in your obituary Klarky?

Don't know about the most useless, but when those steady winders that fit in an electric drill came out, I laughed at the price. Some were asking

Oh yes. It's also amazing what a few compliments can do for you too. I was still living off of the compliments/chocs I gave her two months after Valentines day. Very good value indeed.

Wheel chocks/ramps that you fill with water or sand and then stick a plug in, followed by any water carrier that isn't on wheels or you can't roll. I stupidly bought both when I first started.

Ever so useful sticky hooks and suckers that fall of or leave sticky goo that can never be removed.

Another annoying extra is the drill and screws that leave holes when a tight caravanner trades in their van and then takes out all the gizmo's to transfer to the next van!

How about items on your van that you never use.

No1. Does anyone actually use their door fly screen? I have yet to see anyone use it and am afraid to use ours in case I forget, and put a man sized hole in it.

No2. The outside shower. Used it once to cool down on a very rare sunny day. Great value for money! It's only real use is so that I can point it out to everyone and proudly exclaim "I have an outside shower", just don't ask me what we use it for. Blank stares often offend.......
