Went to get the caravan out of storage on Thursday and the key just turned and turned in the wheel clamp lock. It is the big a Milenco with concrete in the legs so I knew that there was no way I would get it off. Had to call out a locksmith who charged £78.00 to drill out the lock.
Having seen how easy it was for the locksmith to drill out the lock I purchased a Purpleline Nemesis which the box said could be fitted in 60 seconds. I gave up after 1 hour the first time I tried to line up the bolt and again after 45 minutes the second time. The third time I succeeeded after 30 minutes and on the fourth attempt I succeeded after 15 minutes. If 15 minute reduction continues for the fifth attempt I may succeed in the 60 seconds claimed.
The Milenco was not easy to fit but the Nemesis is something else. Any one any tips for fitting the Nemesis ?
I will ask Milenco if they will sell just a lock so I can fit a new one to the wheel clamp and then sell the Milenco but the cost of the lock may be more than I can sell the wheel clamp for
