Get a strip of "8" profile bead plastic from your dealer. Slip one half over the "white rib" and then feed the awning skirt through the other half. John's pic does show this piece.

i ordered one of these today about £6 and I think it will be very useful for fitting the wheel arch cover as it is so tight and for the price it is not worth worrying about and better to have one (awning rail spreader)

Thanks Dustydog and John.
Cover arrived today and im very pleased with it.
Will get a "figure of eight" on Saturday,and a can of silicon spray and try it on the wheel arch.
Will have a look in the shed to see if I might have something to ease the gap open while I thread it through before I buy a spreader.
Thanks for the advice and will let you know how I get on.

i also have one of these off chipping sodbury when i ordered my wyoming off them thanks to Alan. i love it just finishes the isabella off.

If you warm the van groove up with a hair dryer or the sun if its out it softens the plastic
When you remove it just pull it towards you rather than along the channel and that opens the gap a little for the next time
I made my own cover using awning piping and a piece of awning skirt but had to use some wide pliers to pull it through the first few times
As with an awning one person pulling while another keeps the end from jamming and pushes helps

Finally got around to fitting the wheel cover this morning.
I see what you mean John about it being tight.
I used some silicon spray and a rounded phillips screwdriver.
Very pleased with the end result though.
I took a picture of it but being a bit thick,cant seem to load it on here

Good you like it George I would imagine a lot depends on whether you have a twin Axle or single axel and what model of caravan you have making it either easier or harder. I dont know just a thought.

Its a single axle 2009 Bailey Pageant Sancerre.
Its certainly a job to get it through the channel but well worth it I reckon.
Will now try to post picture.

I am going away this friday to Blackpool south CC I will take some photos and post them when I get back
I will try and explain how to post a picture below
1. place your picture in jpeg format on your desktop
2. open up the reply dialogue box when in the practical caravan website
3. click on the picture box reading from left to right it is the 18th symbol the first being B
after clicking on the photo icon another box will open up where it say image URL at the top right there is another box click on that another box will open up click on upload then another box will open click on browse then go to your desk top and click on your photo then click on upload when it has finished uploading it will appearin Blue
4. then click on the blue box which is your picture file name then click on the box where it says insert once you have done this it should appear on the forum reply box

Shame it didnt centralise the picture though but maybe I had forgot to do something before it was downloaded.

Hi forest.
I agree that it doesnt look very neat at the moment but hopefuly,once the skirt is threaded and the awning carpet is down,it shouldnt look too bad.
Our main concern was that it will almost eliminate any draughts coming through and keep our 2 "escape artists" in.
Compared to yours,it was obviously more expensive.

I have to admit that until I started reading this thread I didn't even realise that there was a channel around the wheelarch rim (is it just me or is it a well kept secret?). I have until now used suckers and hooks to hold the extra piece of draught skirt in place.
Anyway, since reading it I had successfully butchered the existing draught skirt to shape and sewn on a spare length of awning beading. Job done and i have to say it looks the dogs whatsits. Can't wait to go away and test it now.
