Wheel Rim sizing

Hi all

Would like teck help have got my self some alloy wheels to go on the caravan. At present i have steel rims marked 5 1/2 x14 H2 with a tyre 185/65R14. On the inside of the alloy wheels i have purchased is stamped either 5 or 8 Jx14H2 its not very clear. What i need to know is the 5 or 8 is this the size of the rim width inside measurement when taking a tape measure to it.So i can check i have the right wheels to do the job.

Also the max loadon each alloy stamped (Max Load 600kg) i take it this is doubled with there being two wheels so that would be 1200kg. My caravan mtplm is 1184kg.So i think i am ok on this point.

Any help on the above points please STEVE

As you assumed correctly, the 5 or 8, as the case may be, refers to the width of the rim in inches.
