its Easter weekend the first night runs smoothly i awake early to the sound of the kids put the kettle on pop!! goes the electric.after calling on the farmer as he has to take the cover off the mains feed i realise my blow air heating has stopped working and then my 12 volt light system too.My water runs ok with some problems the fridge and gas heater have no 12v ignition either.I am at home now and I am hoping it is the battery.I put it on charge as soon as I got home It took 10 mins of charge to say its full .The batt used to charge over night, please can some one tell me this is the prob and a new batt is needed or have good intel on the 12v system which may have a problem.ps all fuses checked and fine and 240 volt system plugs and lights also fine help!!!!

I am struggling to understand some of your text, but as a first pass what happens if you plug the car into the caravan - do the 12 volts electrics work from the car? Also if you have a spare battery what happens if you connect this? If either of these work, then I guess the on van battery could have developed a fault. You could charge it and take it to a car accessory shop and get it tested - most shops will do this for free (well round here they do).

Hello Jason,

This sounds very much as though you have not got your power distribution switches set right, and effectively you have been using mains power via the power supply to run all your 12V stuff.

Hence when the mains 'popped' the 12V also disappeared.

Otherwise I suspect a the main 12V fuse to the battery may have blown.

Obviously as no one here can see and test the caravan this is only guess work.
