Cris I am a firm believer in the Royal family although I am of the opinion that there are too many hangers on such as the Duke & Duches Kent, Gloucester, etc. I hope however that the Queen will reign long enough that Prince William will become king and not Prince Charles. What happened regarding Charles, Camilla and the late Princess of Wales I think is disgusting. I could never accept Camilla as a future queen.

We have to differ here Colin, they can have a long life as far as I'm concerned providing they all emigrate!

If had to be the guilotine and it was declared legal I would be happy to rid us of the parasites!

It is about time Charles and his two young oiks realised that they have no right to reign as it is our country and we are no longer serfs, peasants or subjects.

And it is about time all the propaganda that tries to fool people that they have some worth was stopped.

/ citizen cris ;-)

I am a firm believer that the country with a monarchy at the head is far steadier than a country led by a president. Imagine President Blair - the mind boggles. The majority of countries led by a president have in their history ended up with a revolution against the state. I think that a monarch has a steadying influence on the governing of a country.

Outdated, outmoded way to run a country. Royalty are the top of the tree in a class system that steps on those below at any opportunity. Not often the French get it correct, but every now and then......

No way have the French got it correct. The only thing I admire about the French is the way they stand up for themselves and will not be dictated to by the EU and any law they think is detrimental to their way of life. Come any trouble and they put their hands up and surrender. Even with the present day vlimate in the UK I think I would rather be in this country than France as far as being a citizen is concerned.

I wasn't joking Colin I really would do the job for a reasonable fee, I wouldn't expect anything like a 100K a year. I would be happy just to do agood job for the country for reasonable pay and sensible expense allowance.

As for Brown I wouldn't pay him minimun wage for managing a *** and match kiosk on Euston station.

Cris the main problem with politics is that whereas a person thinks they are doing a good job he/she might not be in the eyes of another. What you might think is a good job could be c**p to another person. The point with my earlier respons to you was that you could have damn good money and pension and not so much responsibility. Incidently the Welsh Assembly have abanded three quangos - the Welsh Development Agency, Early Learning Wales (FE quango) and the Welsh Tourist Board. They reckon they should be run as an inhouse organisation - God help us as the assembly could not run a bus service let alone the finances of a country.

This is the responsibility of all self employed - if they did not do a good job there would be no money coming in. It can take years to build up a good reputation but only a few minutes to ruin it. LA is generally made up of a workforce of employees who could not stand the pace of private industry - I know because I once worked in a LA and was glad to get out of there before I became stagnated like the rest of them. Good for security, reasonable salary and a pension at the end of the day - job satisfaction though very low.

I'm lucky in that I can pick and choose work and I can't be bothered with people I don't like or wind me up, that's why I'm good at winding others up ;-)

When I agree to a job if the customer then gets annoying I've been known to turn around at delivery point and sell the job to someone else, one "friend" gone another made;-)

Well everyone I think I saw the infamous Lord B today.

I was traveling down the A30 at the Roundabout 15 miles west of Exeter towards Okehampton and at around 12.15 who should be going east, was Mlord I believe. L shaped Abbey with a silver VW passat up front just like in his posting pics.

Well Lord B was it you.

Did you have a nice time in Cornwall???

He's back Kevin, he posted in "Events, rallies and owners' clubs", so it may have been him. Did you get his Reg number at all? I might be visiting London, and don't fancy paying the congestion charge ;o)

:OP yes I'm back. I haven't made many posts yet because I've been too busy catching up on my emails - checking the spam box for genuine ones :O(, reading 9 days of chat in here and organising the pics I took while away. I was on the A30 near Exeter at that time Kev. When I read your post I thought whats the man talking about, surely he would have known it was me by my Coat of Arms on the front of my van. When I got home it had blown off somewhere, you can't get Blacksmiths like you used to. I'm getting him to make me a new one and if I lose that he loses his head :O)
