Hope this is not interpreted as misusing this forum, but it is caravan related. We shall be taking early retirement in two years time and have started looking for a cheaper area to buy a house in so that we can invest money to boost our income. Our plans are to winter in southern Europe and spend the rest of the time in the U.K., with a fair amount of time away in the caravan. We are thinking of up to £150,000 for a rural house / bungalow (lower price if possible) with space for caravan and cars yet close to scenic areas for the shorter trips with the van. Where do you think is the best place for this?

Hi Paul we moved from Farnborough in Hampshire to Swansea in South Wales the property we bought here was half the price of our place in southern England ,plus the scenary is beautifil ,and we are in easy reach of the M4 and M5 and the local people are very friendly ,we 5 mins away from the Gower Peninsular ,and we ample parking for cars and caravans and guest caravans
