Where to go in feb 2012?

Hi everyone, can anyone recomend a good campsiite to go to in feb 2012??
We are from newcastle so dont want to travel too far but would like a nice place where maybe a pub is near by and maybe a small village.
I was looking at Hawes or Layburn but both closed.
Any ideas welcome.

What about moffat in the scottish borders, Its a very nice little town a mile and half off the motorway the camping and caravan club site is only a five minute walk into the town with plenty of friendly little hotel and bars, Thers some nice walks along the river and plenty of shops in the town and even a golf course if it takes your fancy, We've been going up there for new year for the last four years, once you've been you will go back.

Ah didnt think about Moffat, good idea, i have been there before and can remember some of the site. Ill have a look at the site. Thanks

We've always had a good time there. The best toilets in the North East, Comfortable bar /restaurant. Holy Island nearby .

Hi Mr Bel,

Have you gave Gibson park caravan club site a thought? Its right in the middle of Melrose in the scottish borders. Five mins walk from the pubs and shops. Excellent site all hardstanding pitches which there are 60 of.
