Haven't heard from Euro for ages. He was always good for a debate. Just out of interest, anyone know whether he's back from his South America trip on a motorbike or whatever he had planned?

'Euro' was banned from the old forum quite a while back because he wouldn't accept the rules of the forum and continued to flame bait in spite of repeated warnings.
He's not welcome on this website, we don't need flame bait merchants or keyboard warriors because they put new members off and the forum is a nicer place without those types.

Oh, I'd forgotten about that. On reflection, yes, he did go over the top sometimes. Perhaps I shouldn't have raised the question then in the first place, but I was only curious.
As it happened, during a passing moment, I was thinking back about some of the past illustrious and less illustrious contributors to the forum that one doesn't see any more. Maybe some have changed their names, but some have gone forever. The passing away of RogerL still saddens me. With his mine of technical information he was a real asset to the forum.

It's not a problem Lutz, no forum wants to lose members by banning them but when advice followed by warnings are ignored there's not much choice.
'Roger L' is very much alive and kicking Lutz, he posts regularly on CT2, were you referring to 'Rob_Jax?'

Ah yes, I got the two confused. Senior moments are setting in.
However, I haven't seen RogerL here lately, either, and he was also a good source of information.

How about Gumbo?. He was brave enough to set up his own " self insurance fund" rather than use a commercial insurer.

Gumbo who had a different username previously hasn't been on for a while, when the upgrade took place the forum seems to have lost some of the old timers either because they had problems with the log in or because of the early teething troubles.
The log in complications have been resolved now and the forum runs normally so I hope that some of the oldies give the forum another try.

Emmerson has been in touch this evening, he can't log back in because of password problems but I've asked John Duncan to help so he'll soon be back in the fold.
I'll have to try and set up an email address next week to leave on the forum for anybody who can't log in and who has no way to contact us.
