Hi
I have a Bailey Unicorn vigo that has an external 230v power socket and also a tv point. I have a Maxview portable satellite and it has a twin LNB. Normally I only use the one LNB and run a stelllite cable from that LNB to the xternal TV point. As it is a cox point I use an F connector on it and then inside the van I use another f connector to run a satellite cable to my satellite freesat receiver.
This has worked fine until my old freesat receiver packed in.
I am intending buying another but I want to take advantage of the ability to watch TV whilst also recording a different channel as I have a twin LNB and the new freesat receiver would have 2 satellite points on the back of it.
However as I only have 1 external tv point, does this mean I would have to run the cable (it is one cable where both ends are then equipped with 2 satellite connectors) through the caravan window ( I don't want to drill holes in my caravan to create a 2nd external TV point). Or could I use a Splitter on the external point and then another on the internal caravan tv point so that I can then run 2 cables into the receiver and then have the option to watch and record a different channel.
I suspect this wont work but just thought I would ask
Many thanks
John
