Nigel,

The main reason I subscribed to PC is that I would get my Mag before it was on general sale, I regret to infom you that for the last 3 months (not including this month, & I haven't got this one yet!) its been in the shops before I've got mine......Whats going on!

You could try ringing subscriptions on 08456 777 812 to ask why your magazine is late George.

Probably being a bit thick here, but why would subscribers get their mag earlier? For that to happen wouldn't the printers have to release copies early? When the mag is printed I would have thought a load get sent to a distributor and end up in tescos or smiths or wherever and a load get posted out to subscribers. If the subscriber copies have to go somewhere else to get sticky labels added and posted out to individuals then chances are they are going to get it later than the supermarkets. I always thought the benefits of subscription were a guaranteed copy delivered to your door at a discount not that you had it quicker?

Most printers now have bagging and inserting lines meaning that the first copies printed and bound are proccesed in house for mailing out, retail copies are then transported to a distribution centre to be broken down for wholesale supplies when deliversd to wholesalers they are then broken down by box no (I.E individual outlets and then delivered again )so you should recieve subsciption copies 3/5 days before they are in the shops
