I'm about to join either the camping and caravaning club or just the caravan club, purely to enable me to get recovery should I experience a breakdown situation whilst towing, my current Rac membership won't touch our van as it's over 25foot long, so do I join the cc club and stay with the RAC or join the Caravan club and swap to Green Flag, is there really much difference between the 2 clubs
 
Hi Mike,

I don't think there is a lot of difference between the two. The recovery programmes both promise the same or similar cost and cover. If you plan to go the continent it may be worth checking the additional cost and content of continental cover as this may vary.

I am a member of the CC, not because of the recovery but I think that, on the whole, the sites are more suited to my requirements. the online booking is also a great timesaver.
 
Are you thinking UK or Europe? If the UK I would imagine that either would do. If its Europe the Caravan Club Red Pennant seems to be the one others are judged by.
