We are thinking of going to the Vendee next summer.

We have never took the van abroad before and we was thinking of using the Dover - Calais crossing and then having an overnight stop half way down.

We have been told we would be better using the Portsmouth - Caen crossing. It may be a more expensive route but it is much easier for getting to the Vendee.

Which would be our best crossing?

Thanks
