It's Avon soft and fresh - doesn't work for me though!

Thought it was Skin so Soft? or is that the same?
Never tried it, but do use Jungle Formula. That does work, my back garden ends at a treeline with a small burn (stream for those south of the border) and we do get our share of midges in the summer.

Hi
Eat marmite sandwiches - they hate the smell that finds its way onto your skin - I have a feeling it might be riboflavin but am not sure. It certainly works for me but then I like marmite!

Avon Skin So Soft - or SSS. It is fab. We started caravanning 4 years ago and I used to get bitten all the time - i counted 13 bites at one point!! I read a post on here about midgies tried the Skin so Soft - bought it of Ebay, I got the oil, I spray it on after a shower and in a morning you only need a little (stinks like fly spray) but it works a treat. I tried it at one one of the regular sites we go to where I was bit like mad - I wouldn't be without it now. I still have the same bottle. It's worth a try.

Two years ago we had six weeks in the Western Isles. Avon Skin So Soft was ok but not perfect. I have the scars to prove it . The weird thing is you don't know you've been bitten until it's too late.

Now get a reality check. It's not all that bad and the trip is well worth it. IMO just don't do it between June and end of August. When I smoked the Mozzies were no problem. So maybe a packet of Benson & Hedges will help.
