Just Bought a new Freelander 2 yesterday and I'm having difficulty in choosing extention mirrors, have tried the type that have suckers on the glass of the fitted mirrors they with much suprise held on but had very little vision area, and blocked the view of the exsisting mirrors.

Tried the ones that clip on to the top rim of the standard mirrors, they had a good size mirror head but crushed the mirror head on the vehicles mirror.

Tried the ones that have a rubber strap that clip on the bottom of the doors that doesn't work because the bottom of the doors is rubber no grip ?

Can anyone suggest a mirror with a good size head and one that doesn't block the view out of the exsisting mirror heads

I have a Discovery but I don't know how similar the mirrors are on a Freelander. I use the Rock Steady Universal Mirrors and they seem to fit ok and don't damage the the mirror housing. Hope that helps.

Hi Terry,

I would have a word with your Landrover dealer and see if they make one especially for your Freelander. We have a BMW and they did one for our X5, perfect in every way and could not be bettered.Did however have to take out a mortgage but that's BMW for you.

At the Nec this year the Caravan and Camping Club had a fleet of Freelanders for doing try tows. They were fitted with the Milenco aero mirrors. Superb mirrors.

Hi,

I also changed car to the Freelander 2 this year and bought two of the Milenco Aero mirrors. Easy to fit and give good vision, the best towing mirrors I have had.
