Which Mover Truma or Powertouch

Ok Guys

Help needed again. We are looking for advice on a 4 wheel mover for the Limousin which we will also buy at the NEC. Which one do you guys recommend please, Truma or Powertouch? one of the dealers did tell us that Truma and Powertouch are to be one compan shortly. Any advice would be appreciated.

PowrTouch .... and I've got a Truma :O(

I have yet to see any bad comments about the former but have seen lots of recommendations with the reasons why.

I wont go into great detail why I wont have another Truma apart from the factory closes down for stock taking and then if any parts are needed tough.

This is what happened to us and when do they close for two weeks? In July, at the height of the holiday season so we had to cancel our week away because I couldn't get the caravan off my drive.

We have had our powertouch for nearly 5 years and the only trouble we have had was the battery going flat in the hand set (Can hardly blame them for that);

The no quibble guarentee is exactly that, we changed from a single axle to a twin and had the dealer transfer the mover (not a power touch agent), turned out the dealer hadnt correctly tightened one motor and it wasnt making proper contact with the wheel. As it wasnt transferred by powertouchI didnt think it would be adjusted under warranty. I phoned them to find out how to adjust the motor, but instead of just telling me on the phone they sent a fitter out within a week to adjust the motor under warranty.

This is a company which others could learn customer service from.

For us no contest Powertouch every time.

That is what I hear all the time Del and for that, although I haven't got one, I'm pleased to praise them.

Likewise from my Truma experience I like others to be aware of what could happen.

Hi All

In the end we opted for the powertouch 4 wheel auto engage. We do have a steep dirve so thought this would be the best option. We did like to eich but could not justify the price. We are so new to caravaning and this is the start.
