Which route Kendal, to Keswick

Hello everyone, we will be going up to low park wood cc site on Friday, and then up to Keswick c&cc site on Saturday. I'm really not sure which route to take, I've done the route without the van on the back a lot of years ago via Windermere, but can't for the life in me remember if its suitable for a 23 and a bit foot long van. Alternate route would be back out on the m6 and a66. Help would be appreciated. Thank you. Ed
