Which Satnav ?

Hi All

For several years the cars thatI have had have had built in satnav but my new one, Ford Mondeo, hasn't got it. Which satnav should I buy ? I don't want to spend a fortune as the best navigator usually sits at the side of me but for the times when she is not in the car a satnav may prove useful. I think one that covers western Europe may be the best option for us as we usually go to Europe once a year, usually just to France but this year it was France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany where the Nissan satnav did earn it's keep.
Any advice, including which ones not to go for would be welcome.

One way or another have used many varying makes of stand alone Sat navs.Massive choice out there.
ATM i have a tom tom 750 Live,it took me some getting used to after years of Garmins, but its fine [arent they all] Its the "live" services that i wanted mostly and so i would suggest regardless of what make of Sat nav you buy, try to buy one with a years free or more of live services......
