which way to (go on you know you need to know where)

Hi thinking of going to CAMPING HALIOTIS *** IN THE MONT SAINT MICHEL BAY (sorry for capitails) from cherbourg which way is easiest/best? thanks in advance lee

Type in www.viamichelin.co.uk and go to directions.

Put in France as country and start at Cherbourg and finish at Pontorson. You can get all sorts of ways to go from Shortest to Quickest. You choose the one you want. Haliotis is a lovely site.

Back from there this morning - an excellent site and only about 17 euros for a serviced pitch (on the town end of the site - around number 136).

Follow signs to Mont St Michel into centre of town. Eventually come to a small roundabout withe the site sign clearly visible pointing to the left. The right fork takes you to MstM past the new Carrefour 'Market' which has a carpark big enough to turn in if you've got that far.

From Cherbourg either follow the coast road down the west coast of the peninsular, or take road to Bayeux / Caen, turn to St. Lo, go round the st. Lo bypass and then onto the autoroute between Caen and Rennes, turn for MStM.
