Hi Kevin. Try Sandfield House Farm at Sandsend. You can walk into Whitby by main road or go down to the beach and walk along the esplanade. It only takes approx. 40mins., and you can use this path even when the tide's in! The toilet/shower block is always clean and if you've got kids the footie field is a big hit. We've been the last three 'May half terms' and are going again next weekend (17th to 19th). Hope this helps, Manda.

not exactly walking distance, but the camping and caravanning club site at scarborough is very good.

It has been updated for 2004 with refurbished toilet blocks an indoor recreation hall and brand new play area.

We were there for bank holiday in august and had a great time - well recommended.
