Us too. It is an outside job so He empties; but I clean the top half left in the bathroom.

Perhaps a little more flushing might help? ;)[/quote]

The inside jobs include all the cooking as well. But as a compromise I do the washing up. :(

I get sat on my walker at the cadac :(

Martin, is this not a contradiction in terms? B)
Btw, I empty the pot, as herself is somewhat disabled.
With regard to cooking, we have a good arrangement - she cooks, I eat!

He's in charge of the externals, I'm in charge of the internals, but by prior agreement he empties the cassette as we both 'use' it ... fair enough I think!

That was supposed to be our rule… but the kids decided otherwise and then Mrs-Spoon decided otherwise. I have yet to use it for anything more than an emergency wee… but I still get to empty it

Although fully trained in the dark art of emptying, as I have a very sensitive little nosey, Sir Fixalot generally does the dirty work! As we employ the 'no solids' rule, it's not dreadful. Besides I do all the cooking and other cleaning.

At this juncture it is noteworthy to say that Elsan Diamond Blue dissolves all solids and paper in a few hours. There is no nasty smell. Trust me we Woosies have experimented :cheer: B)
Even a Woosie of Woosies could manage, :p
I can't say the same for Thetford products which I ceased using over 10 years ago :woohoo:

Dustdog, Elsen doesnt make Diamond Blue, they make Blue and Double blue, which I find is much the best for dissolving "Bits" Diamond Blue is a different company.
This morning on fake Britian there was a bit about fake Elsen Bue being sold. Hope I get this link right. http://www.elsan.co.uk/warning-fake-5-litre-elsan-blue.aspx

Hutch. Still my job though.

Are you on the beer again Sir Dusty? If I am right (which isn't often) Elsan and Blue Diamond are two different makes/products, but you have said Elsan Diamond Blue so you may be right but I cant find any on google.

I tried the Blue Diamond and then went back to Elsan Blue, even just breaking down the tissue it seems to work better for us. And I am staying a BIG WOOSIE.........Liquids ONLY  :)

OH and looks like Hutch types quicker than me :(

That because I am not on the beer tonight, Blue Diamond, made in Yorkshire, Health and saftey leaflet states 18.6 % formaldehyde, cant find anything recently but in 2005 Elsen blue, made in Uckfield, east Sussex used to be 12 % Formaldehyde. And I think Thetford product are made in Holland.
God I am board.

Elsan, after Ephraim Louis Jackson, and the first three letters of Sanitation.

A bit of usless info, Elsan is used in Aircraft toilet systems , under the name of Skykem, and anyone unlucky enough to be on the approach routes to a Runway can some time have Blue ice in their garden due to a leaking toilet valve, and as it thaws out , falls off, and Blue smelly ice in your garden.
Thankfully their are contractors to empty the loos nowadays, used to be the new aprentices job. :woohoo:

My apologies.
I meant Double blue and double rinse ( pink) both made by Elsan.
I am impressed with the attention to bog side detail. Thanks Hutch .
Attention to fine detail in these matters is crucial to a stress free experience.

The Elsan chemical toilet, known back then as the Elsan, was fitted to Lancaster bombers in a rudimentary form during world war two, so this type of disposable sanitation has been around for a long time.
I know for a fact that if I'd been unlucky enough to have been born much earlier and had served in Lancs I'd have made full use of it and would have had no problem when I decided where to empty it
In common with the majority, cassette emptying duties fall to me.
When I first clapped eyes on my beloved across a crowded dance floor I never for one minute imagined that I'd one day cart a plastic container full of our joint bodily waste across a glorified field in the middle of the British countryside.

.

Shouldn't thought it would have been needed after the lanc performed a Corkscrew manoeuvre

Yes, there were well documented cases where the contents of the Elsan were deposited over aircrew when the aircraft carried out violent manoeuvres.
There have also been forum reports of the contents of cassette toilets ending up inside caravans when owners forgot to empty them before towing.

Have a read of this link

And maybe this will help by explaining how to put photos on the forum from a PC

When you upload a photo to photobucket you then need to click on the link at the side of the word Direct, it will highlight and quickly say copied ...

BUT If you are using an ' I ' pad ?
In the share links box on photobucket copy the bottom one that say's IMG and paste that into the same box as before .... ;)

Pcv%20picture%20help%202_zps3nfcboor.jpg

When you click on the tab to insert a photo you need to remove the htpp:// before you paste your link into that box

Pcv%20picture%20help%201_zpszxo4nfoc.jpg

The box will then look like this ...

Pcv%20picture%20help%203_zpswiiaqw6y.jpg

Then put a size into the box for the photo size and past the link into the box below.

Pcv%20picture%20help%204_zpsyhd6g4re.jpg

Just remember that when you click insert it will put the photo were the cursor is .....
