Hi Brian,

Have you tried www.lunarcaravans.com I would think they could sort you out.

No idea about the lack of replies though.

Brian,

Whilst clearly not for your Lunar I would suggest you download both the current and older model manuals from Bailey's web site

http://www.bailey-caravans.co.uk/handbook.htm
As you are new to caravanning you will find some very well explained info on many of the equipments used; much of these are common to most vans irrespective of maker. Obviously things specific to your van will not be included but ask about them here and somebody might have the answer to thoses.

Piping for awning rails etc can be obtained from good dealers in various widths and colours.

Why not approach Lunar direct and see if they have anything relating to your caravan in their archives. It amazing what they might send you. Good luck.

No one replied because they can't be any help. The manual you are after is, after all, 14 years old.
Well thank you for all your help, especialy Rioja!

as you say our van is getting on a bit, but unfortunatley we carn't all afford up to date vans, 14 yrs is nothing compared to some vans, and after all these days it is possible to get a copy of a 50 yrs old newspaper so i dont hink i was asking for the impossible! but thanks to all the others who gave me useful advice.

hello Brian; yes I know what you mean. This group is a fickle lot; a topic or question of seemingly little interest can get everyone 'fired up' and yet a topic that one feel should be of 9at least0 some interest, can result in nothing.

The truth is that people will only respond to stuff they either want to or, to which they feel able to make a valid contribution. Your lunar caravan query (because of its age) was unlikely to generate a mass response and we certainly don't want a stream of "don't know" type postings.

So, anyway, hope that you get the answers to your issues. Sometimes it's a good idea to have a chat with your local caravan dealer or find a specialist group.

All the best

John

Hi all and many thanks to all you lovely! people that bothered to send me a SENSIBLE reply, yes we are making progress, found what most of the switches are for as we have it stored on a site where there is a workshop, just one other thing puzzled us (which we have now sorted) was when we used out water pump(the blue one) on our lunar it didnt shut off when we switched the taps on and off, yet when we tried one that had been left in the lunar it switched them off! apparently they are pressure switches and not micro switches.
