We used to go to this lovely place a couple of miles from home every so often especially when we had a dog. But my limited health severely restricted me for years. So on Saturday, we made the effort and really enjoyed it.

Ther3 is a NT car park, so I went to validate my parking using my membership card. But the machine is no longer functioning.

I guess that might be a couple of grands worth of damage for £20.

Looks lovely but quite exposed. Was the machine clearly broken into, didn’t go over in Storm Ciaran?

The machine has been dragged about 10 yards, and if you zoom in, you can see how the safe has been forced.

But yes, the foundations were poor.

The car park is chargeable or free to NT members, However, despite the machine being broken, the verges on the road outside were full and there was space in the car park.
