Dear readers and forum users

We're conducting a survey of our readers and there's a good bribe to complete it. We have £200 of Caravan Guard vouchers and £300 in cash to giveaway to one lucky respondent. It won't take too many minutes to complete, and we really want to hear what you think about the magazine. Feel free to raise any comments within this thread and we'll answer them here, but do complete the survey as well!

The link you'll need is below.

Many thanks for your help

I started to complete the survey and then I was asked why I do NOT subscribe to Practical Caravan - I DO.

Next - When is your insurance due?

Next - When do you intend to change your caravan?

Questions and many more that can be fed to firms for marketing - I receive enough junk mail thank you - unless you promoise that none of the information will be passed on, in which case, what would be the point of the survey.

Regards JTS.

Hi all

The closing date for responses is December 27. Our full t's and c's can be found by following the link from the website's homepage.

This survey is aimed at non-subscribers. If you subscribe you should have received an email inviting you to take part in a subtly different version of the survey. If there are questions you would rather not answer just skip them, that's fine. The majority of the survey is based solely on gathering your opinions of the magazine. Having said that, we couldn't produce the magazine without the support of our advertisers, so it is helpful to learn a bit about your buying habits.

As I mentioned though, you are free to bypass any sections you don't want to answer.

If you subscribe you should get a different survey. Nope I subscribe and opening link first question on survey was 'why do you not subscribe'!

Not sure with your layout but if you follow the pipework from the cold water inlet, you will find a drain tap.

Last not but not least pipe work?

Looks like you are now able to air your views on this forum and speak as Big Al did and comment/swear on my error.

Why should people offend other people views or mistakes?

Why is he so different sorry he is not, after looking at his previous posts he his no way perfect.

If new members post in the future are mocked then why should they they post on here?

Sorry we are all human and make mistakes!

I'll just intervene at this juncture to point out that there is no requirement to use perfect spelling or to be grammatically precise when submitting posts on this forum.

As long as other forum members get the gist of what any member is trying to say then the object is achieved.

I took Big Al's comment to be an attempt at humour which, as is often the case on internet forums, seems to have backfired.

I must assure everyone that if any actual swear words had appeared in Big Al's post it would have been immediately deleted.

Perhaps it's not such a good idea to sieze upon spelling typing or grammatical errors and attempt to joke about them, people in glass houses and all that.

Let's all calm down a little, after all this is only a forum so in the scheme of things it's hardly life changing or even very important.

I have just filled in the form. Mind you I am not happy about the two messages at the bottom of the questionnaire.

You really do have to read them both, otherwise you end up ticking the second box assuming that its answer is like the first box.

What you are actually doing is giving permission for PC to give your details out!

The first box says "if you do not wish PC to bla bla bla" tick the box.

The second one says "if you do not wish PC to give your details out bla bla bla" DONT tick the box!!!!!

Parksy,

You obviously have a different viewpoint to your fellow mod Damian, who picked a user up on his incorrect spelling of Isle of Wight and seems to have generated a bit of backlash for himself.

I've filled in my questionare and enjoyed doing it!

You see for all those who winge and wine about filling out audit sheets, then if you'd rather not want to make a difference or suggest ways in which practical caravan can improve their service to us the paying readers, just don't bother filling the form or wining after about it.

As I see it, it is our opportunity to feed back our thoughts on just how good a topic is and what is the most important content to have in the mag.

There's an old saying, "you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time" and as I see the survey it is practical caravan's attempt to please most of the people most of the time.

So for the sake of ten minits of your time fill the form and have your say rather than mutter discontent in the ranks.

Sorry if my thread is a bit blunt and to the point, but I come accross people everyday who will mutter behind your back but not say to your face what they realy think. Mee, I'm all for calling a spade a spade and will do so to anyone and often you'll find they have more respect for straight talkers anyway.

Steve L.
