Winches

Can anyone advise me on a winch,my drive is on a slight gradient maybe rising 4 feet.I was considering purchasing a winch which could be plugged in to a normal power supply or 12 volt.If anyone can advise me on this matter I would be most grateful.

Joe, there are different types of winches but a simple one that can be powered from the car battery ( or grey socket if you wish) are available on ebay for about

hi ,a visit to a boat yard shop is best.they know more about winches than anyone.
