window blind not well

hi out there. tried to tension a blind that has gone lopsided but there is what looks like a piece of thin plastic twine sticking out under the blind. what is it? can it be fixed if so how? do i have to purchase a new blind? many thanks for looking. geoff

Geoff, sorry i can't help you directly. Suggest you try re-posting this under Technical and/or Equipment and Accessories as we have a number of "techie" readers who may well be able to help but only read these particular forums.

Geoff:

I may be too late however here goes. I think it may be the remains of a broken retaining clip. Does the blind look a litle lopsided when it is pulled and left in the down position? If it does this is the problem and new clips are quite easy to get online and to fit.
