A loo with a view no doubt. We have a new Bailey Ranger 500/5 without a toilet window - the only natural light and ventilation is from the roof light - it has never bothered us and we have never given it a thought. If there was a window it would be either opaque plastic or require blinds/curtains so why have the window in the first place? It is not practcal to admire the view outside when either in the shower or on the loo.

We have a window in the loo (Bailey Pageant Bordeaux Series 6) never open it and quite happy with the skylight. The Pageant Series 7 has move this window from the loo to the wash basin area. Bottom line is it just takes up wall space in the loo area!

We have a window in our loo - which we tend to leave on open all the time - but we don't use the loo much either (no sitting in there with the newspaper, if you know what I mean - we use site facilities). I suppose if you use the bathroom for 'everything' then a window which opens is a useful ventilator, but otherwise don't bother!

When it's 30 plus degrees a window is great for ventilation, but now our phase of global warming is over we don't have that probem in the UK!

Hello all , Please don't make my sides split again Peter T , I just can't imagine getting my bodily hulk through a 12"x 12" loo window , even with the flames licking my botty . Having thoughts of a tube of toothpaste comes to mind . Steve .

Our present van does not have a window thank goodness in the toilet, our last one did the blind was always down so could not see the sense of having one.

We have a full width end 'bathroom', it has an opaque window adjacent to the separate shower.

Using the loo means that the blind cab be left open because of the distance between the toilet and the window.

Using the shower poses the question; blind up?, or down?

The answer usually depends on my mood - and upon my assessment of whether my site neighbors deserve a treat or not.....

I couldn't imagine not having a window. We use our bathroom most of the time, and don't consider closing the blind for privacy a problem. When the room isn't "in use" the blind is up and the window is often open, making the room (and the rest of the van" light and airy.

With a fairly high tow car, a clear central toilet window with blinds up, the view straight through the 'van is sometimes handy.

Our current van which has a full width washroom and seperate shower has a window in the washroom , whilst it is opaque it gives extra light and makes the washroom feel brighter. It is also handy for ventilation when using the shower as with the roof light open and the window slightly ajar it seems to help clear the condensation.

Our last cvan which had a combined shower and toilet also had a window , but as the window was in the shower we only opened it after showering.

We have a window in the side loo and it just takes up space that could be used for a bathroom cabinet/shelves

There is plenty of light and ventilation from the roof vent and more could be available if a mini Heki was fitted

The blind is always down as even through opaque glass you can be seen from outside especially at night when the light is on and could frighten the horses etc

Am I missing something here?

My caravan toilet has a seat , a lid and a flush but no window.

What are they for..... :)
Well the seat is for sitting on,the lid is also for sitting on and for covering the toilet bowl and the flush is for cleaning/clearing the bowl

As for the window that is to provide a reason for having window blinds

Hope that you are not missing something

If so maybe a mop is needed in there
