Windy towing today.

We are off for the weekend when the family finishes school. It seems quite windy outside, we will have to take it easy. Anyone else away this weekend?

Off to Hargill House at Richmond. We may be able to get a couple of nights away at the back end of the October hols If my shifts work out right.

Graeme if you have not been to Hargill before I suggest you head for the far bottom corner of the site from reception uf there is a free pitch there as the site suffers from a lot of road noise.

Thanks Ria, we have been there quite a few times but never managed to get on the strip at the very bottom of the site. It looks like it has great views over the valley.

Just heard on the local radio that a car and caravan have been blown over on the A1 Northbound at Newcastle near the Metro centre.

Hope you have a safe journey. I didn't think it seemed that windy when I was last out.

Last time we went to Hargill we walked with our friends and their dogs and kids and had a BBQ by the river (shallow in the main and ideal for kids and dogs when there has not been much rain) on the A6108 Reeth Road. The other side of Richmond from Hargill. There is a lane to the left to car park and a holiday park, cross the river on the foot bridge from the car park.

Of to the new forest next weekend

Tow to Richmond was not too bad. When we got there at 17:30 we got the last plot on the site!

The drive back today was much worse than the drive there because of the wind. Most outfits were taking it easy on the A1.

We went to Searles at Hunstanton over the weekend.

You're right - it was windy. Made putting the awning up a bit of a job, but it was ok I guess.
