I noticed the post by Ed Mayo and must say it,s kindled an interest we never thought of before. We have looked at the Camping Bankenhof Web Site and it does look s good facility. My question is, has anyone Experience of Towing a Caravan in that part of Europe in the Winter as the thought of Snow Blocked Roads and being "Snowed In" is a bot scarey.

You can be assured that in order to make the place attractive for winter camping, everything will be done to get you in and out of the campsite even in the worst of snows. Don't forget, though, that winter tyres are are a must and snow chains recommended (but you can hire them if you haven't got any yourself).
