What do you have to do to a caravan for it to be classed as a "winterised caravan"? I own a 5 year old Abbey - would it be already "winterised"?
Cheers Roger. I thought as much - it's mostly water related as far as the UK goes.UK caravans are generally built to Grade 2 insulation standards which requires the design, insulation and heating to work effectively at 0 degrees. Properly winterised vans are required to function down to -20.
The insulation and heating of a UK caravan might just be adequate at -20 but the fresh water and waste water systems would freeze. On-board insulated tanks, water and waste, would be needed to achieve -20.
