winterhoff hitch lock

We have a winterhoff hitch lock and have been using it with no problems for the last 9 months but last week in wales i could not get it to lock on the hitch,i tried all the usual tricks wd40 and it just wont lock has this happened to anyone else .I also have a bulldog wheel lock so the caravan is secure but i do prefer the winterhoff on the van as well.

It sounds like the 2 parts are not pushed together properly,does it lock when not on the hitch?

Yes it locks together fine when not on the hitch.

Can you turn the key?When on the hitch The lock assy should push in

Hi, I have a robstop and found that it would not latch. I used a hammer to flatten out the rim of the dark blue plastic insert and now it is much easier.
