winterhoff tow ball

hi can anyone tell me if a specific tow ball is required for a winterhoff stabiliser hitch.i know that raised neck tow balls are needed for alko hitches and are supplied with the alko triple packs.i have seen that winterhoff triple packs include only hitch,lock and rubber safety ball device.iam therefore wandering if a standard 50mm tow ball clean and grease free is sufficient for the winterhoff?

Yes, clean, grease free and standard is absolutely fine, Dominic

If it is a new ball then you may have to strip off any paint or finish down to bare metal though or else it will leave a coating on your friction pads. Not good!!
