Hi,

I'm looking to replace my standard towball on my Land Rover with something called a Dixon-Bate Pinball Wizard towball.

I understand the towball is a fixed component and seperate from the pin.

I like the idea of the chunky pin for when I go off road and may at some point need a good recovery point.

I also like the look of this type of towball.

My question is, is this towball compatible with a Winterhoff WS3000 ?

I'm finding conflicting info as I search around...some people state that an Alko towball (eg extended neck) must be used, but others say a standard type of towball is fine (??)

Hopefully someone can ease my confusion??!!

Many thanks

Jason

If I remember correctly from when I had one of these on a Shogun some years ago, the pin was free to rotate which would render the stabiliser function of the hitch useless.

Check whether current versions of this now have the pin fixed.

Thanks Rod, yeah the dixon-bate pinball wizard has a fixed towball that is seperate to the removable pin.
