Wireless Internet for my Laptop

Help, having been persuaded by the kids and other half that internet was essential for our trips we've just attempted to use it for the first time and no joy - the other half then informs me that he thinks he saw an advert in the club magazine for the equipment needed to direct the laptop through his phone (this all sounds far too difficult to me, but what do I know). Does any IT genius out there know what we need and where to get it. For all the anti techno people out there I know all the argfuments about getting away from it all but when the kids are happy then I can get some peace and quiet to read a good book!

You probably have this sorted by now, but if you havent here is some advice.

It all depends o the connection types your computer and mobile phone have,and thw software your mobile phone has on it. most modern phones allow you to use your phone as a modem.The best advise i can give you without knowing the equipment you have is to contact your mobile service provider,they should be able to talk you thought the set up process,
