I am getting tired of having to do this word verification thing every time I post. When are they going to resolve the issue?

I made a similar post in the 'Our Website' section and apparently there is a bit of a glitch. I get it now and again but I don't know what triggers it.

I sent another email to Haymarket's web techs first thing this morning so they are aware of the problem.

Have they even looked at the problem which has now been ongoing since they introduced the word verification. Didn't seem to work for van hire advert posted by Clive Wigan!

The last reply I had about this problem was on 05/01/2011 when JD said that that they were aware of the problem and asked members to 'bear with them'.
Obviously I've informed the technical staff about similar problems but presumably the fault isn't fixed yet and the tech staff have had nothing to add. The guys develop, administer and maintain multiple websites and are kept extremely busy at Haymarket and it's a better use of their time addressing the problem rather than emailing me to tell us what we already know.

Our friend who posted the van hire advert probably filled in the verification which was primarily designed to prevent the 50 - 60 automated spam attempts every day. He's banned from the forum now.

In terms of stopping the flood tide of attempted spam from the criminal element who may have attempted to gain private information about our forum members the new software has been an overwhelming success, we had over five thousand illegal membership accounts since the new forum was launched until just after Christmas when we had this software.
This 50+ every day has gone down to maybe one a week, if that.
It's unfortunate that forum members have been irritated and annoyed by the new system, I'm sure that it will be sorted out in the end.
The new software has made this website quite safe to use now and mods don't have to spend hours on end checking and deleting illegal accounts.

They stop automated software from applying for forum membership F.G. and this is where most of the spam posts originated from.
