Would you arrive on site at 21.30. And proceed to erect a awning. Saw a guy get onto his pitch at 21.30. Set up his van, by this time it was 21.55. Then he put his awning up. Would you like me have waited for next day?

I would wait until the next day, did he then empty The Tardis, from chairs table fridge etc, to be able to sit in the Caravan or did he then sit in the Awning all evening

I'd hate to arrive that late on site, and then have to set everything up - but I have no problem stopping that late for our one night/year wild camping on our way to the Highlands.

If I was concerned the weather was going to deteriorate enough I would set to and erect the awning, my biggest concern is the inevitable noise I would make hammering in the pegs.

I’d leave it till the next day.
What does concern me more is a seemingly more common occurrence of people bringing large screen tv and watching it in the awning until late at night,

There is no right or wrong unless there are site restrictions. And if it doesn't adversely affect any one else what harm is there. Frankly a subject not worth starting a thread about.

Border Billy opens a Pandora’s box. No idea why but these days we seem to go to bed earlier and rise earlier.
Think I’ll start pegging out the awning at 6.30am 🤪

Rising earlier might just be physiological as we are at the longest day time of the year and our bodies respond to the early light?

I have always been an early riser, nowadays well past my best by noon.

Our bed time hasn’t changed for many years it’s around 10-45 to 11.00 ( pm for Border Billy) but my waking time even with a light obscuring blind and eye mask is around 0600 summer or winter. That doesn’t include the multiple wakes ( or walks) during the night 😂

40 years of dogs always meant a 06.30am rise. Now they are gone old habits die hard
