Good news for all prospective Zafira diesel owners put off by the low 1050kg towload of the old model. I just got the press release of the New Zafira with its figures:

1.9 CDTI (100hp) - 1200kg

1.9 CDTI (120hp) - 1300kg (manual), 1400kg (automatic)

1.9 CDTI (150hp) - 1500kg

It doesn't mention, however, whether Vauxhall will be offering all the above variants for the UK market.
 
Hey Lutz, just for my interest sake, how on earth do Vauxhall manage to get an extra 50hp out of what must essentially be the same engine ? I hear its a good engine but it must be something special to be tune-able through 100 to 150hp ?

The 100hp and 120hp versions are 8 valve engines, the 150hp is 16 valve. The rest of the difference comes from software (chipping) and turbocharger performance.
