Sorry Surfer, our van was written off and not a Bailey but using the Aklo chassis and ATC a la Unicorn, I was told that Chinese manufactured Hubs were involved but not on our Brand

Another show Caravanners should miss is the show at Chepstow plenty of Motorhomes very little Caravans, we went this year spent 30 minutes there and went home a round trip of 180 miles, sick as a pig !!! Admiral

I hope you took photos as evidence, this has only happened once to us in many years of using Cl/CS's

I too live in the area and agree with SBW, far easier towing route, the Newcastle Emlyn route is too twisty although no problem re width of road, you will love the area, have a good 'un and Bon Route

We too have been members of CSMA and insured both our cars through Frizzel, now LV, there are many other benefits being a member, such as very cheap tyre deals and car purchase etc Take a look on the CSMA website and see what else they have to offer, they have a caravan section that hold Rallies...

I had the same problem, I was using at the time a 2x7 pin on Van to 13 pin on car adaptor, that's where the fault was, the company I bought the adaptor from said that they had had a faulty batch, hope this helps !!! Admiral

Never leave home without a BBQ whatever the type, we did once and had to go out and buy one, it's the first thing we pack.

We use in the'van the Go Outdoors folding style, takes up little room quite light and good value.

Thanks Dustydog, In forty years we have not had any mishaps apart from one puncture whilst towing our van to a dealers to collect a new van about fifteen years ago. So, something had to happen at some time, it was fortunate that we were only doing about 20 mph at the time, a couple of minutes...

Thanks Parksy, The Tyres were checked and the Studs were checked using a Torque wrench to the correct settings, I am waiting now for the report as to WHY the wheel came off, about 20 years ago the caravan industry went through a similar problem with nearside wheels coming off, the manufacturers...
