    Welcome to the new forum

I am in using the pcvtemp pw also, there is nowhere to change it! Also posts earlier in the afternoon haven't shown in threads although I was shown as the last to post in the furum headers. Hopefully it will work better in a couple of days.

    Holidays in Ireland

Here's a link to a good site listing in Southern Ireland, not exhaustive but pretty comprehensive http://www.camping-ireland.ie/

    Rep. of Ireland

I also live in Northern Ireland. It depends on what you are use to Pete, if you are expecting standards like - for example Caravan Club sites in GB, there are only a handful that come close in Ireland, the rest vary a lot in quality and facilities. Don't let it put you off though, the scenery is...

    12n socket

Ok guys - sorted thanks. Local citroen garage confirm the switch just controls rear fogs, citroen wiring kit

    12n socket

Looks like that's what it is as one of the wires goes to the blue fog light pin. Citroen want an arm and a leg for a new wiring kit, local independents can't supply a socket like this and a search on the web has proved fruitless. Any suggestions where I might get one?

    12n socket

Having damaged my 12n socket after carelessly driving off a kerb after parking on waste ground, I went to replace it today and bought one in Halfords. Tyron bands

I removed mine on advice of a tyre dealer. Suppose you get a puncture in a fairly remote (or maybe not so remote) area, try getting a tyre replaced or repair done if the local tyre depot can't deal with Tyron bands as is often the case.

    Irish voltage

Voltage is not the issue bt amperage is. Many Irish sites only have 5amp supply so electric kettles etc generally out of the question. Check this carefully on the site description and go equipped accordingly

    Rotary washing lines

You are right, the salesman is wrong. A caravan chasis is designed to carry the weight on the axles and the jockey wheel with the corner steadies purely would down to prevent movement, not to bear the load of say four people sitting in the front of the van.

    SITTING TOO LONG?

In my opinion, it may well be fine, the tyres will be useless and it will need a full service with particular attention to all running gear but outside that it hasn't been subjected to the pressures and flexing of towing so if it seems dry, I wouldn't be put off.
