    Holiday site needed for august

Hi You could try Ruda Holiday Park at Croyde, N Devon. It is a bit pricey in August but I'm not sure how much, so worth a look at their web site and I know it does get busy so depends if you like your own space or not really!

    Point Curlew, St Merryn, Cornwall

We stayed at Carnevas last year, very nice relaxed site, clean facilities and a good bar. We were going to stay at Point Curlew but went with my instinct to stay at Carnevas instead and was very glad we did! We had a look round Point Curlew and were not impressed.

    where are you going?

Decided very last minute to go away this bank holiday weekend. Only wanted to travel 1 hours drive away to avoid queues, etc, and GUESS WHAT - everywhere within range is fully booked, sob. So, as the rest of the caravanning world will be on their travels this weekend, where are you going to...

    worrying experience?

Just wondered what was your most worrying/frightening experience whilst in your caravan? We sat through some horrendous storms last summer, sitting up ALL NIGHT and constantly re-pegging the awning down due to the gale force winds, not to mention mopping up spilt drinks because the caravan was...

Can anyone help?? In our desperate rush to get off an overcrowded site, we put our awning away in the rain and promptly forgot about it when we got home. Have used it this weekend and it has areas of black "mould". Does anyone know how I can clean this off without damaging the awning, or of a...

Hi, will be travelling to south wales next week from Stafford. Intented to go M6, M5 and M4 but was wondering if anyone had gone M5, M50, then on A roads to M4?? If so, which route is the better one and what are the A roads like, ie are they single or dual carriageway? Any advice on which...

    new caravaners

Hi, yes you are very lucking living in the south west! we've got 3 kids aged 7, 3 and 2 and the best advice is to have an awning so you can put all the toys in there and forget about them. Try and put a windbreak (or 2) in a semi-circle from both ends of the awning so your kids can play in the...

    sites in s wales

Can anyone recommend a good clean site around Tenby/Saundersfoot for a 5 day break. Clean toilets/showers essential and spacious pitch a bonus. Not bothered about entertainment, shop, etc as will be out in car most days anyway. Thanks!

    looe caravan site

Can anyone recommend a good site in or near Looe for a 5 day break in August. Toilets/showers must be clean and a spacious pitch would be good. Got 3 kids so child friendly is a must! Thanks

    Derbyshire sites @ xmas

Try Rivendale Caravan site near Ashbourne, they are open all year, and have a themed night in the pub on new years eve but I think you may have to buy additional tickets (not sure so have a look at their web site). Very clean facilities but can be a bit pricey.

    New to Caravanning

Hi, I agree with the other comments - sounds like you picked a bad site - trust me, there are lots of beautiful sites out there. We have 3 kids and have caravanned since they were all babies. We have only ever had 1 bad experience on a camp site and we go away once a month from Feb - November...
