Pros and cons of various M/home makes

I have just upgraded from my 16 year old Swift to a brand new Eldiss and its not the same quality but thats most likely what you get now. Cupboard doors a little bit out of line, alot of mastic sealant on the outside which soon looks dirty. But it does drive well.

Some TV aerials are removable it could be that the previous owner forget to put it back on or is it laying in one of the lockers? Some motor homes they are an extra.

Motorhome specific satnav - is there such a thing?

I have never found the need to add my own POI sets. The POIs that snooper provide together with Caravan club sites and others pre installed do me fine. Just remember when buying GPS Tom tom charge for map ugrades where Garmin and Snooper are free.

    Circuit breakers

Hi Tony The only thing I can think of is that the type of breaker I have is going out of production and to fit double pole breakers would mean a new consumer unit. But you could be right about being on the continent.

    Circuit breakers

It has been pointed out to me that the circuit breakers are safe but I should take into account the type fitted are no longer the industry recommended practice. The circuit breakers fitted are a single module with a switch neutral and I should consider changing to double pole versions. Has...

    Life a leisure battery

It sounds like your battery is being overcharged, but you need to ventilate the battery as the gas can ignite.

    Silver screen

If it's a external one I would not. I left mine on one winter and I did not noticed that bird had messed on it and it left a stain which would not come off. Last year at the Motorhome show at the NEC I purchased a cover which covers the screen an also the cab front and it's better.

    Old age tyres

It's not worth taking any risks, I have just replaced two and the back two are dues replacing at the end of the year. One thing worth taking into account is the type of tyre. I found that two I replaced were van tyres and were not suitable for the psi recommend by my handbook, just fitted two...
