Where in North Yorkshire are you going?

We go to a Pickering pretty much every year. We love westgate carr farm and the owners have become good friends too so it’s a bit like a catch up. Lol but yes, no where better than North Yorkshire I don’t think.

We’re off to Hollym just outside withernsea East Yorkshire for the bank hol weekend. First time we’ll have been away since October half term. Just 3 nights and local but a run out ready for a week in Pickering end May / june

you‘ll love it. Gorgeous site. Lovely people too. Friends of ours since we first went in 2012 after they’d just taken it over. The look from then to now is amazing. Worth looking online for them.

We store ours in the next village so only about 15 mins away. Ours would probably fit on the drive at a push but we again would have to put the 2 cars on the road and parking down our street is stupid as it is, also, I couldn’t get it round the bend to our house at the bottom of our street most...

Our smoke alarms at home are wired direct to the mains, landlord would deal with any needing changing if they needed to. No carbon monoxide detector no, that’s something I know we do need this year before we do go away. strange how that’s something not put in van at time of manufacture it was...

I should add, in my last van we had one and it kept going off almost every time we cooked in the van

So what was the consensus of opinion? Extinguisher? Blanket ? Both ? What and on the fire subject, what about smoke alarms? We have one in our van that is fitted by the door but no battery in it when we bought it 20 months ago and I’m embarrassed to admit that we’ve never actually put one in it...

I was looking at these last week on eBay was thinking of doing the same.

We have this in our 2007 senator Virginia as extra security. Took it out when we bought the van and registered it in our names.
