    i also have a captiva an irish import lt spec to be honest i,m a bit disappointed with the fuel consumption low 20s at best but it tows our burgundy brilliantly and it was very cheap, less than 13 grand brand new so i guess as the old adage goes you get what you pay for Dave.

    my only query was involving the possibility of increased scuttle shake towing with a convertible i too have seen caravans being towed by bmw and other convertibles but i was told by a friend who fits tow bars it is not recommended

    I have a 2006 saab 93 convertible i was wondering if there would be any problems towing my bailey pageant burgundy van i have done all the usual whatowcar checks and the match is plausible but i have had lots of people telling me i should not tow with a convertible any advice greatly appreciated
