    Formula 1 driver

Geez!! Prof - I suggest you get of your high horse. I'm with John (me) on this. Roy said his speedo was reading 70-75 mph which is indicated. In reality he was not exceeding 70mph at any point.

    External Gas BBQ Points

We have a 2010 Coachman and didn't have any problem with external BBQ point. Did you use the supplied connector?

    Caravanning with dogs.

Our two Labs sleep out in the awning. Instead of a crate we have a "dog bag" which is like a pop up tents for dogs. We use it for transporting the dogs in the boot too as it keeps the dirt and hairs contained.

Volvo V70 Nightmare Push Button Parking Break

My Vauxhall insignia allows we to apply the electic handbrake a second time to allow for a stronger hold. Not sure if the Volvo handbrake is the same

    Audible Indicator Warning

I fitted the dedicated 13pin electrics to my VX Insignia. If any of the caravan bulbs fails I get a warning on my dashboard telling me which bulb on the trailer has failed is stop lights, tail lights, left or right indictor etc. The car knows it has something connected as there is a small micro...

    Scratched windows on new caravan

Thanks John. That's my worry. We have had the van for just over a week and used it twice. I rang them after I noticed but have no way of proving it wasn't me that caused the scratches. I guess once it leaves the forecourt it's my word against theirs. Will see what happens when it goes in. Do...

    Scratched windows on new caravan

Jo, thanks for the quick response. They are a reputable dealer so hopefully it wont come to that but I will call on it if required.

    Scratched windows on new caravan

We picked our new Caravan just over a week ago. After our first weekend away in it I noticed that ALL of the windows were scratch, some alot worse than others. I didnt notice when we collected it, did look that close I guess - it never crossed my mind. I have spoken to the dealer they said to...

    Site signage

You're not wrong about them being tight. The site was fully booked for the weekend. We arrived at around 6pm having had problems with traffic. There were only a couple of pitches left. Luckily one of them was big enough for our 'van. We would of struggled to get on the others I did wonder what...

    Soft rear suspension.

The car is only a 6 months old. The suspension doesn't hit the bump stops just sits low. Looking at the outfit as a whole I would of though having it sit level would give a better quality of ride. As well as the car sitting low, it means the rear of the 'van rides quite high and looks wrong.

    Site signage

We recently visited our first CC site - The Firs, nr belper. What surprised me was the number of small low road signs on corners and near to pitches etc where they could easily me ran over causing damage to outfit and site when maneuvering I would of thought the CC should know better.

    Soft rear suspension.

Ken, I have the same issue as you. I have an VX Insignia estate which has a large overhang. With my two Labs in the boot and the caravan running at 75kg Nose weight it does site quite low. I am confident that nothing is broken as John suggests and I am sure that I am nowhere near the max rear...

    VAUHALL INSIGNA 1.8 SRI PETROL

David, I tow with an Insignia Elite 2.0 CDTI Sports tourer. They are a heavy car for their size (mine weighs in at over 1800kg) and it tows my Coachman Amara quite nicely. Can't comment on the petrol version tho but as long as your 'van weight isn't excessive you should be OK. I am...
