Thanks for the replies. I have bit the bullet and brought one from mercedes benz direct,picked it up today very impressive engine .On the way home the mpg reading was 42mpg ,chuffed to bits,towbar being fitted thursday once again thanks

just quick update -i have taken delivery of the viano- superb2k on the clock and returnig 30mpg -havent pushed the engine to hard yet though.this is a bi9g mpv and would noy suit eveyone-loads of space inside for 3 kids -2 dogs and all the luggage etc-tows the caravan like a dream -mainly down...

the upgrade is from mercedes .with or without what a vehicle.i thought my v220 was perfict but this is even better all i have to do is swap the ceiling tv/dvd and it would brilliant

i have roadtested the 3.0cdi.absolutly awsome apart from the insurance quote was out of this worldso if i do buy one it will the 2.2 with a tunning box on it which will bring it to a 60 nm torque difference and no insurance penalty.

ps i have done the match on what car.com -camr back as 5 stars-but you can beat 1st hand experiance

sorry forgot something for no 1.while you have got the coolant drainned run a hosepipe into the top of the radiator and let it run out the bottom for about 30 mins-this helps to flush any debris out
