    Bailey warranty work

The problem is not only with Bailey. Browsing the forums will show that a number of caravans/manufacturers have problems with bodywork. Our Coachman has some serious stress damage that Coachman want to blame on us..driving in a pot-hole or kerbing the caravan etc: We have seen similar comments...

    BODY SHOCKS?

The message relayed to us from dealer/manufacturer about the damage to our caravan was basically..'if you hit a pot-hole and damaged your alloy wheel, you would claim from the council' - this is quite different from hitting a pot-hole and you car then sufffering massive damage costing thousands...

    Big Five "O"

Happy Birthday! Got there in June this year! Gone mad, gave up my career....will panic in a couple of months when the money runs out, but meanwhile I am having a ball! Oh, for the courage to give it all up and caravn full-time. Enjoy!

    BODY SHOCKS?

Mmmmm! Our Coachman has some serious stress issues which in our humble opinion is due to thinner body panels/poor construction. So we have to agree with you! Having great trouble getting Coachman to agree to repair under warranty - they say its due to us driving in a pot-hole or kerbing it -...

Hi Martin, have you made any progress with Coachman? They are sending an independant engineer out to look at our van? Jackie

    Creasing in Caravan Body

Hi Martin..seems like you have had the same sort of problems? - Did you get the problems resolved? Interestingly I have been looking at structural stress tests carried out for Bailey by the University of Bath engineering department and the worst stress points are exactly where our caravan has...

    Creasing in Caravan Body

Many thanks again all. John L - the caravan was not bought with finance, so we will pursue under SoGA if possible.with dealer....A light has switched on due to the really good replies that we have had - relating to potentially badly cut or assembled sides ....thus revealing what appear to be...

    Creasing in Caravan Body

Hi All... many thanks for your replies...I am really worried now! - If we have a caravan with a 'broken back' then we have done nothing in driving terms that should have caused that - We are going to have another dealer look at the problem and take it from there. But as you say, we will have to...

    Caravan - all year round?

All year round - because we have seasons that each bring their own pleasures....autumn in Lakes, winter in Dales...long walks in the snow...coming back to the warm van and cosying up...wrapping up and sitting outside with a warm drink or cold beer in the winter sunshine....Xmas with the tree and...

    Creasing in Caravan Body

Hi, we have two nasty creases in our 2007 caravan - one from nearside front window and one from the door...the manufacturers tell us that it as it is probably due to either ' kerbing' the caravan or pot-holing it - it is not covered by warranty! - The dealer says it will cost thousands of...

Creasing of outer panel and cupboards coming away from the roof

Hi, we too have recent creasing on our caravan - 2007 model Coachman, but we wouldn't say that it has had anything other than normal use including potholes (unavoidable and frequent on British roads-unfortunately - and the dreaded speed bumps - but our caravans should be robust enough to cope...

    stolen caravans

Yep,its high time the ports got more cute....their lax security is aiding and abetting many a caravan theft and many other crimes.

    stolen caravans

Thanks for that John. However, the insurance company concerned paid out only for the caravan..there were a couple of thousands of pounds worth of stuff in there , that were therefore not theirs.....bedding, crockery, flat sceeen TV, CDs and DVDs that my husband had bought me, walking gear...
