Thanks - It Was hubby that caught them - the police attended 6+ hours later - the car is damaged bad and hubby shaken up of course - but we found some chewing gum - so hopefully only a matter of time before they are caught through DNA - plus they have a very damaged white transit!

The problem is not only with Bailey. Browsing the forums will show that a number of caravans/manufacturers have problems with bodywork. Our Coachman has some serious stress damage that Coachman want to blame on us..driving in a pot-hole or kerbing the caravan etc: We have seen similar comments...

The message relayed to us from dealer/manufacturer about the damage to our caravan was basically..'if you hit a pot-hole and damaged your alloy wheel, you would claim from the council' - this is quite different from hitting a pot-hole and you car then sufffering massive damage costing thousands...

Happy Birthday! Got there in June this year! Gone mad, gave up my career....will panic in a couple of months when the money runs out, but meanwhile I am having a ball! Oh, for the courage to give it all up and caravn full-time. Enjoy!

Hi, we too have recent creasing on our caravan - 2007 model Coachman, but we wouldn't say that it has had anything other than normal use including potholes (unavoidable and frequent on British roads-unfortunately - and the dreaded speed bumps - but our caravans should be robust enough to cope...

Thanks for that John. However, the insurance company concerned paid out only for the caravan..there were a couple of thousands of pounds worth of stuff in there , that were therefore not theirs.....bedding, crockery, flat sceeen TV, CDs and DVDs that my husband had bought me, walking gear...
